Glimmer Nest is operated by the Neuroaffirmative Autism Resource Center (NAARC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to neuroaffirmative resources, counseling, support, and education for autistic adults.

When you use Glimmer Nest, you may choose to provide personal information such as your name or preferred name, email address, profile information, journal entries, mood and wellness tracking information, burnout or masking assessments, sensory preferences, accommodation requests, community posts or comments, feedback, or support requests. Providing this information is entirely voluntary, and you control what you choose to share.

In addition to information you voluntarily provide, Glimmer Nest may automatically collect certain technical information necessary to operate and improve the app. This may include your device model, operating system version, app version, anonymous usage statistics, crash reports, diagnostic information, device language, time zone, and subscription status. If you choose to use the Sensory-Friendly Maps feature, Glimmer Nest may request access to your device's location. Your location is used only to identify nearby sensory-friendly locations, improve map functionality, and help connect you with local resources. Many features within Glimmer Nest involve deeply personal reflections, including journaling, mood tracking, sensory logs, and burnout monitoring. We recognize that this information is highly sensitive. We do not sell your personal journal entries, wellness information, or emotional tracking data. Whenever possible, this information is protected through industry-standard security measures, including encryption during transmission and secure storage practices.

Certain features within Glimmer Nest use artificial intelligence to assist you with organizing thoughts, reflecting on journal entries, translating neurotypical communication, generating accommodation letters, summarizing information, and providing educational guidance. When you choose to use these features, the information you submit may be securely transmitted to trusted third-party AI providers solely for the purpose of generating the response you requested. AI-generated responses are intended for informational and supportive purposes only and should not be considered medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.

If you participate in community features within Glimmer Nest, any information you voluntarily choose to post may be visible to other users. We encourage all community members to avoid posting personally identifying information, financial information, passwords, protected health information, or information about another individual without their permission. Users are responsible for the information they voluntarily choose to share within community spaces.

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the services offered within Glimmer Nest, personalize your experience, improve accessibility, enhance AI-generated responses, maintain app security, process subscriptions, provide customer support, communicate with you when necessary, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We believe your personal information belongs to you. Glimmer Nest does not sell your personal information. We do not sell journal entries, assessment responses, mood tracking information, sensory logs, burnout tracking, or location history to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

These providers may include Apple, secure cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics providers, AI service providers, and customer support platforms. Glimmer Nest may use anonymous analytics to better understand how the app is being used. These analytics help us identify which features are most valuable, monitor performance, diagnose crashes, and improve accessibility and usability. If you choose to enable notifications, Glimmer Nest may send reminders, journal prompts, burnout check-ins, Glimmer Garden updates, community announcements, or other app-related notifications. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Any subscriptions or purchases made within Glimmer Nest are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your complete payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information regarding payment processing and billing practices.

Protecting your information is extremely important to us.
